Clicking through the links on the left and the jewellery links on the right will give you some idea of the range of items we stock at our Nottinghamshire shop. Our shop is easy to find and five minutes from junction 26 of the M1 and the Nottinghamshire Ikea at Guiltbrook. Many of the items shown are available mail order, exceptions being some of the larger items or more delicate items. We can dispatch most items via post or courier (exceptions include the intricately carved dragons which are too susceptible to damage and some of the other more vulnerable, or very large items). If you wish to purchase mail order please contact us via the phone TEL:0115 9382394 or e-mail rootsemporium@ntlworld.com to confirm the item you are interested in is still in stock. There is minimum order of £5.
The only items we current ship outside the U.K are items of jewellery. P+P charges for jewellery outside the U.K are twice the U.K rate.

Multiple orders
If you order more than one item and the combined postage and packaging exceeds £9 you will
normally only be charged £9.
The following exceptions apply.
Where the P+P of a single item exceeds £9.
Off shore deliveries and deliveries north of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Delivery addresses must be the same for all items.
Examples
Where you to buy a set of resin monkeys with a P+P of £4 plus a carved cat with a P+P of £7, the combined P+P you would pay IS £9, and NOT £11.
Buying a jade necklace with a P+P of £1, a carved teddy P+P £5, a leather camel P+P £4 and a small gold leaf Buddha P+P £4.50, you would pay a total of £9 P+P, and NOT £14.50.
Buying a carved wooden cat P+P £9, a carved elephant stool P+P £9 and a caved wooden Buddha
P+P £9, you would pay a total of £9 P+P, and NOT £27.

Roots is an Aladdin's cave of a shop. Thousands of items of stock, piled high like heaps of treasure, hanging from the rafters and crammed into corners. Everywhere the eye looks it is greeted with a galaxy of gift ware and a fabulous forest of furnishings. It is the perfect antidote to the frequent sterility of the modern chain store where everything is laid out neat and spacious and orderly, in designs conceived to persuade you to purchase and bully you to buy. Roots by contrast maintains a sense of the mysterious and of joyful choas. Both exotic and quixotic, original and interesting.
Hidden like small rare birds in a forest of furnishing, miniature brass Buddha figures, iron framed mirrors, sand animals, incense holders, abstract resin figures and a thousand and one other gifts await discovery by the discerning eye. Larger carved elephants, six foot wooden cats, root chairs and rustic shelves lie camouflaged against the background of household furnishings. Trailing from the ceilings like jungle creepers are bamboo wind chimes, hanging lanterns, bee mobiles. Climbing the walls like creepers are iron candle holders, rustic planters, and picture frames. Covering walls like moss are dragon wall hangings and a large selection of masks. Everywhere more treasures are heaped up. Roots is the discerning shoppers paradise. Truly the shop of your dreams.
