Parasite wood is a parasite the same as holly is a parasite and seeds itself onto other trees. Parasite wood is a light wood made particularly distinct due to the contrast between its' smooth white surface its dark underside, that resembles the underside of an open mushroom in texture. These faces are carved into the naturally occurring shape of the parasite wood taking advantage of it's rustic shaping and contours. The result is that every carved face is unique, a brilliant mixture of the craft mans carving technique and natures infinite subtlety of design.
